Living in this world that is primarily built for right handed people is putting left handed individuals in quite a spot. Door knobs are placed on the right side of the door which makes it easy to use for a right handed person, but for most left handed people definitely it is on the wrong side. Locks open when a key is turned clockwise which is easy for a right handed person. Most of the things built in this world are designed for right handed people and taking into account the fact that 85-87% of the people are right handed. The same holds true in the world of music too as most people who are left handed are learning how to play the guitar find it very difficult to obtain left handed guitars.
Also we are often asked for advice from left-handed guitarists, both on the best way to teach guitar left-handed and for stockiest of left-handed guitars.
As with most things left-handed, the answers are never as straightforward as one would wish. If you are thinking of buying a left-handed guitar, you will find that the choice is very limited indeed. Whether it is acoustic or electric you are looking for, you may find there are no left-handed at all among the glittering display or with luck, perhaps two or three may be tucked away behind the right-handed. As with expensive equipment for many other hobbies or activities the economics of guitar production and sales makes it impossible for most stores to supply the range of choice that right-handed enjoy.

What type of accessories will I need?
If you are a starting guitarist, a guitar starter kit should get you what you need to play the guitar. When buying a guitar you will need several or all of these options:

2. Guitar Cord-The guitar cord hooks the guitar to the amp.
3. Guitar Strap-The Strap hooks onto the guitar and goesthrough the shoulder of the guitarist.

You may need lighter gauge strings for a less experienced guitarists. Try 8’s or 9’s morebend on the strings for beginners 10’s or higher for more experience guitar players who want a heavier string sound
5. Starter Guitar Amplifier – Guitar Amplifiers come in many sizes and wattage. Starter amps come in smaller wattages For Ex: 10W o 15 W. if you will be playing shows with your amp, you may need 100W amp or higher to fill the room with sound. It just depends on the need of the amp.
6. Guitar Picks Guitar picks come in variousthicknesses as well. An acoustic instrumentalist or newbie may want a thinner pick. You will need a thicker pick for larger stings especially on bass guitars.
7. Guitar Tuner It’s a good idea to pick up a guitar tuner. Almost run on batteries and make it a lot better for a beginner to tune their guitar.
8. Guitar Case or Gig Bag Cases and Gig Bags protect the guitar in transportation.
9. Guitar Stand – A guitar stand that holds the guitar when you not playing it, while on stage or at home.
If there is north, then there is the south. so, if there is right handed guitarist, then there is guitar left handed. Usually those lefthanded guitarist is more potential in guitar, there’s also available lefthand guitars for them.

Although Eric Johnson is best known as a Strat player, he has always played humbucker-equipped guitars as well. After getting a new 1959 Les Paul re-issue, Eric asked us if it could be made to sound like an old Gretsch Country Gentleman guitar.
